Late as usual on the news. But I thought I'd share this. Many of you may have heard about the drama surrounding Christian Dior in March earlier this year where lead designer John Galliano made appalling comments about loving Hitler, and his quick firing short after. His Fall 2011 collection was inspired by Wallis Simpson, a Nazi loving American and accused spy who won the heart of the King of England. The King was dethroned because she wasn't royalty and they were an embarrassment to say the least. After losing the crown and marrying her they went to visit The Fuehrer himself. It's true. These traitors are the people he was inspired by?! Disgusting! But before I get riled up...back to the story! Ha...After the firing of John Galliano the show went on. And despite the shameful inspiration for the collection the Christian Dior team managed to finish it and make it into a gorgeous art deco extravaganza. It's a truly breathtaking collection. You can see more here and here. Enjoy!
