Monday Mocktails: Refreshing Blackberry Lemonade with Rosemary


Hello Everyone. Thank you for stopping by and checking out our little nook of the web. There are so many changes going on right now in my life and sadly I have had little time to post. I moving this week and next week I start a new job. It's a bitter sweet change but with the new job I'll have mornings to work on the shop and the site. I have some very exciting things planned for the business. I hope all goes well. I've been working so hard to prepare for this change. I cant wait to get back into a regular rhythm of posting again. I miss you all and I miss being creative. Here's today's mocktail to inspire me and you... a blackberry lemonade with rosemary to garnish. It's very refreshing and quite irresistible. I can't stop thinking about how good this would be with gin, ha. I hope you enjoy it alcohol free.

Blackberry Lemonade with Rosemary
Serves 2


  • 6 Lemons
  • 1/2 Cup of Water
  • 1/4 Cup Blackberries
  • 2 Sprigs of Rosemary
  • 6 Packets of Stevia (or other sugar of choice)

  1. Make sure you wash all of the fruit. In a shaker or large glass, muddle the blackberries with the stevia and a few needles from the rosemary sprigs (this can also be done in the bottom of the serving glasses).
  2. Fill your shaker or glasses with ice.
  3. Slice and juice your lemons. Fresh juice makes a huge difference in taste. Pour your juice over the top of the blackberry mixture. 
  4. Pour in the water. This amount can be less, it all depends on how tart you like your lemonade.
  5. Stir with a spoon and garnish each with rosemary.

Monday Mocktails :: The Grapefruit Pomegranate Ombre


I have been so in love with ombre lately. Everything from Drew Barrymore's hair to tights to dresses and tablecloths. It's just so lovely and quite festive for spring. I imagined a drink in ombre style and viola! you have the Grapefruit Pomegranate Ombre. It reminds me of the tiger's blood snow cones I adored in grade school. Try this out it's really delicious on a warm day or even great for a party with your friends.

Grapefruit Pomegranate Ombre
Serves 2

  • 1 Grapefruit Juiced ( about 3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate Juice ( I used Pom original)
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Water

Directions:
  1. Split your pomegranate juice into two rocks glasses.
  2. Carefully top with ice.
  3. Pour the grapefruit juice very very slowly over the ice. They should stay layered. If they mix you poured too quickly. (I practiced in a shot glass first)
  4. Then very very slowly pour the coconut water also over the ice. It should slowly layer and sit on top.
  5. Enjoy with friends!

The Return of the Monday Mocktails: Carrot Ginger Zinger


 So finally we are back on schedule with Monday mocktails. I apologize for the hiatus. I have missed posting these. I just have so much fun coming up with these recipes. I hope you all enjoy them too. I know many of you have been asking me about them. So here we are this week with a delicious carrot drink! I love carrot juice so much but it is really tasty when mixed with orange juice. This little concoction will deliver a punch of energy and boost your immune system as well. And by the way, I think carrot juice could be a secret ingredient to a creamsicle drink. Give it a try. Enjoy my lovlies. I have missed you dearly. Monday Mocktails // Pomegranate Grapefruit Shrub


Here we go with another mocktail with apple cider vinegar. I have done a few drinks with vinegar and I think it's so delicious and good for you. I know it might sound awful but when sweetened appropriately the vinegar really lends a wonderful flavor to fruit. Shrubs are fruit drinks with vinegar and usually honey. They were a very popular drink in the late 19th century through the mid 1900s. Apple cider vinegar has so many health benefits that it is considered to be a cure-all. I am a strong believer in this. It's good for metabolism, arthritis, lowering blood sugar levels, acid reflux, it cures hiccups, its great for acne, colds, and many many more. Friday Favorites: Get Warm And Cozy With Manzanita


I'm so glad to introduce you all to this lovely lady. Meet Rebecca of Manzanita. She has mad talent for crocheting and her blog is most inspiring. Her site has many really great DIY projects and I absolutely love her shop! Everything in it is so fun and whimsical and cute. I love crocheting so much but I couldn't miss out on one of her handmade treasures. I have just ordered the cute green laurel headband you see below (sorry peeps...this one's taken ha).
